just take your phone and hit it on the ground

try using it on speaker phone. i have the same trouble on a panasonic cordless hand set and it only works with speaker phone turned

Adjusting the volume during a call Use [up navigation /down navigation ] to adjust the earpiece volume during a call. Press [up navigation ] to increase the volume level and [ down navigation] to decrease the volume level.
