If it's not the idle control valve it could be that the upper or lower intake manifold gaskets have gone bad. That would cause them to leak air and make the engine run lean, and too fast, until the engine warms up and the gap swells shut.
I have the same vehicle, I found 2 issues wrong with mine. One was that a misfire in a cylinder, which meant replacing a coil. The other was that the IAC (Idle Air Control) was bad and needed to be replace.
