Hold the power button in for 10 seconds on the tower, then push it back- it sounds like your system is locked into standby/hibernation- holding the button forces a full shutdown. If that does not work, write down your express service code. If the system is still in warranty, you may need to contact Dell technical support to have your system troubleshot for No Post. If not, utilize support.dell.com to troubleshoot the No Post situation- often, the system will tell you which component failed, which saves you money as far as repair costs go!

Dell Dimension 5100c Model: DCCY will not boot.

Hi,

Is the power button a steady abmber light?

If so follow the instruction below>>>>

Remove the power cord from the back of the computer. Then open the side casing of the tower and unplug the 24 pin block connector from the motherboard. The 24 pin block connector looks like this >>>>>

Once removed press the on/off button on the computer to dispel and residual power from the motherboard.
Then connect the block connector again and put the side panel back on and then plug the power cord back in and try to boot the computer up.

If its still the same then the power supply inside the computer may need replacing.

Good luck.

My Dell Dimension 5100C will not come out of sleep mode. Everytime i press the power button, the light blinks orange and keeps blinking ,no noise from the inside or anything. It Just stays in hibernate...

the continuously blinking yellow litght indicates that the power supply gets juice from the line but cannot distribute powe to the components. the first thing to do is to check and see if the power supply is working. dell power supplys have a test button, if you turn the computer around and hold the button on the power supply down for a few seconds the light should turn green, if it dosen't then you need a new power supply. if the power supply is ok, turn the computer on and have a look at the diagnostic lights (on the back, labeled 123 and 4) if you call the dell support line and tell them your model number (or give them the service tag) and which of those lights are on they will be able to tell you what the problem is. if you are still in warranty they will fix you, if not they will direct you to someone who can.

AKAI LCT26Z4AD wont power up.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.

We had thunder storms my tv 65613 has a green blinking light wont star

Good Day,mikeybecerra; TV wont come on mb try these 6 items, please pay attention to the blinking light (it's a code) : 1. Check for no 8.4 volts DC at pin 3 of PC9A10 on the Power PCB, if low or missing replace PC9A10 part # 268P058020. 2. LED does not blink at plug in. Check for 3.3-volts DC at connector RF pin 3 (system reset) if low or missing suspect the reset switch S7L20 part # 432P109010 on the Control PCB. 3. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Verify the standby supplies, 12-volts at connector KA pin 17, 6-volts at KA pin 18 and the 28-volts at KA pin 19, if the supplies are present suspect the DM PCB part # 934C067001 4. LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 UFD 16) on the DM PCB, if they are bad replace them with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD 16 V). LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. 5. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Check for 3.2 volts DC at connector RF pin 4 and 5 on the Signal PCB if low suspect problems with the switches/buttons on the Control PCB part # 935D736001 6. LED stops blinking after 70 seconds of plug in but will not power on. Keyboard is not locked and key inputs at connector RF pin 4 and 5 check good suspect the E2P PCB part # 934C061001. Good Luck, big IRISH.
