It sounds to me like you have a faulty keyboard. You need to contact Acer, or the store where the laptop was purchased, and arrange for the laptop to be repaired. This should be covered under warranty, unless the machine has suffered any physical damage, such as a fluid spill.
I have an acer 5630 and my brightness key is over on the far right bottom side of my keyboard 2 keys for brightness and 2 keys for the volume
and i hold down the Fn key down on the bottom left of my keyboard as well as the brightness up key that should brighten your screen for you i hope it works for me
goto control pannel from start menu.
select keyboard.
under speed tab select short speed delay and long repeat rate.
if this does not work , replace your keyboard if this don't work
You need a pc tech to reattach the cables to the motherboard inside the unit. they have worked loose and are not going to work until serviced or replaced.
nothing much you can do at this point. appearanly the printed ckt under neath the keyboard has a short.
did you spill some thing on the key board before???
try to see if there is something stuck under neath the keys.
other than that you need ot replace the keyboard.
could be a bad connection underneath..remove keyboard, after the panel that covers above the kb. The small board my have become dislodged(should be tagged down with two screws). If not that, then motherboard is unhappy.
