the charcoal filter is either in the top of the microwave or on the bottom, but you can order from APDEPOT.COM, Repairclinic.com or searspartsdirect.com
Grease filters change from the bottom side of the unit.
Charcoal filter is changed as follows:
To Remove Charcoal Filter
To remove the charcoal filter, disconnect power
at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel or
pull the plug.
Remove the top grille by removing the screws
that hold it in place and sliding the grille to the
left (opening the door makes grille removal
easier). Slide the filter towards the front of the
oven and remove it.
To Install Charcoal Filter
To install a new filter, remove plastic and other
outer wrapping from the new filter.
Insert the filter into the top opening of the oven as
shown. It will rest at an angle on 2 side support tabs
and in front of the right rear tab. Replace the grille
and screws.
The grease filter is changed from the bottom of the unit.

Charcoal filter is behind the grille at the top of the oven. Find screws in front or at top of the grille and remove them. Remove the grille by shifting to one side and pulling forward with the door open. You should see a slot where the filter is inserted. Remove old filter and replace with new. Note which side of old filter is up and position the new one the same way. The filter sits on tabs at the side and back. Replace grille and screws.
There is no charcoal filter unless you replaced the standard filter with a carcoal filter. Also, it may have m=been changed to a charcoal filter if the unit was alterd during installation as a re-circulating vent, not vented to the outside via the roof or wall.
The filter (Charcoal or not) is on the bottom of the unit. Put your head under the microwave and look up, there it is.
The charcoal filter needs to be changed every 6-12 months, or sooner if it gets clogged.

External vent systems have the charcoal filter removed, generally at the time of installation, as it is not needed for this application.
The charcoal filter removes odors from internal recycled airflow.
There should be an aluminum grease filter that you can remove to clean in a warm soapy solution, let dry, and reinstall.
