I have an LG ru-44sz63d dlp tv. It just did a "pop" sound and the tv went to blk and white. It is making a loud sound like an air plane taking off. Any ideas?

Is there a ball park dollar amount I should be looking at? a few years ago I paid to have the lamp replaced and not only was I "ripped off" on the price but because they used a "generic" lamp it blew the following year. I then replaced it myself (a friend told me how) with an LG lamp and it's been good ever since.
