if the power light comes on but the screen stays black, then your TV might be on the wrong input Channel. for example: you switch inputs when you play games or watch dvds vs. watching regular tv. Try to change the input
make sure the AT&T button at the top of the remote it pressed. If that isnt the issue, a soft reset could fix the issue. Can do this by holding the power button until the power light goes off then back on again. If that doesnt work, you may need a new receiver.
hi this fault could be down to capacitor in the power supply, they bulge or go leaky, you need to take the back off the tv, to have a look. try and find a tv tech in your area hope it helps
you have a power supply partial failure if you know how to safely check your power supply check the voltages, swolen capacitors etc. leaking capicators are usually the problem. if you know nothing about power supplies do not look at the tv without the tv unplugged! better yet; have the supply repaired by a professional. a power supply can kill you!
Most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. Or, it can be something simple like a burn fuse inside that needs replacing.
But, I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet. If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route. If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, if you can find and purchase a Service Manual over the internet; It will help you diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20. And most cases the new part cost less than $15.

Confirmed with Samsung tech support. Problem is with remote. to fix, simple take the batteries out of the remote. Press and hold the UP Volume button for 2 Mintues (no cheating, it has to be at least 2 minutes), this Reset's the Remote Control. Put the batteries back in. Bob's your uncle. all fixed.
