I HAVE THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM.

Confirmed with Samsung tech support. Problem is with remote. to fix, simple take the batteries out of the remote. Press and hold the UP Volume button for 2 Mintues (no cheating, it has to be at least 2 minutes), this Reset's the Remote Control. Put the batteries back in. Bob's your uncle. all fixed.

Make sure there isn't a button stuck down. Try changing the batteries. Good luck

The sat button on my remote is rapidly blinking, and now most of the other buttons will not work.

When the SAT button blinks repeatedly, or the buttons do a dance (Sat & DVD, TV & AUX, repeat) it means you need new batteries. Replace all four AAA batteries, ensure they are all four aligned the same way, and then hit SAT. Your remote should return to its normal function. If you leave the batteries out for too long, the remote will forget how to operate the TV and receiver, so be sure to have all four new batteries ready before you remove the old ones.

My philips srp5107wm/17 only changes the volume on my tv no matter what device i have it set on

The Philips remote is set to "push trough" the volume/mute to the TV for devices that typically don't have a volume function. Older versions of Philips remote used to allow you to select the device to push volume to, but for some reason this is no longer available (or at least I haven't found out how to). So here is the solution I used.

Teach (learning function) the remote to use whatever device you like for volume/mute.

1, Press the button for the device you would like to change
2. Hold down "learn" and the button you want to teach ex. "volume up" until the red light comes on
3. Place the original remote of the device you would like to change the volume on 5-10 cm away from your Philips remote and press "volume up" for this example
4. Repeat these steps for the "volume down" and "mute" buttons
5. Repeat these steps for other devices you would like to "push through" volume/mute to a device other than TV

Hope this helps others. I did find that some devices like SAT may not allow you to change the volume/mute, but otherwise this workaround does the trick.

My remoute control joust change the volume and anyother keys doesn't work.

The remote's volume keys are "punch-thru" keys, meaning they'll work for the TV for which the
remote is programmed no matter what mode the remote is in. It seems your remote is not
in "TV mode," but the punch-thru keys (volume UP/DOWN) are working.
The Solution: change the remote from "AUX mode" or "DVD Mode" back to "TV mode", by
pressing the "TV" button at the top of the remote.

Either that, or your remote keypad has failed with the exception of the Volume UP/DOWN keys....
Also, your batteries may be failing, since it takes a tiny amount of energy to light
the IR (infra-red) LEDs at the front of the remote to change the volume.
Is your remote a "multi-function" remote?
Could help more if you could post your Samsung remote model number, since
www.samsungparts.com lists 37 pages of TV remotes (at 10 models per page).

I have a Sony Bravia TV, only a year old, had several power outages and suddenly RM-YD028 TV remote is not working at all. On the Dish network remote, the satellite controls are working, but not TV...

If neither the DISH Network remote or the TV remote is working for you most likely your remote sensor is going bad. If you'd like to try readdressing the remote follow the steps and procedures below. Codes: 500, 837, 125, 808, 798, 640, 796, 783, 795, 797, 865, 846, 842, 563, 501, 810, 841, 781, 807, 838, 690, 758, 843, 845, 591, 839, 806, 840, 844
To program the remote:
1.) Hold the clear "TV" mode button for four seconds or until all four buttons at the top of the remote are lit.
2.) Press one of the three digit codes listed above followed by pound (#)
3.) Check for functionality by trying the volume power and mute.
Be sure to press the "SAT" button to return to satellite mode if the code works.
