My 2 year old KA Beverage Center stopped cooling. Any reset or just wait week and a half for repairman

Could possibly be a faulty thermostat which is "sticking" in the off position after fridge has reached set temperature. Elsewise may be a loose connection on thermostat or motor making intermittent fault.

Need to check the motor circuit I think there was a problem with the motor

If it's 15 years old, it doesn't owe you very much.

Hello roderick234 - From what you have described it sounds like the beverage center has a poor door seal. When cold air and warm air outside is entering it causes condensation. Try checking and see if the door seal is bad; place a dollar bill between the body of the freezer and close the door. The dollar bill should stay in place and pull out with a small amount of resistance. If the dollar bill falls out when placed between the gasket and cabinet double check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing it. If nothing is stopping the door from closing then I suggest contacting your manufacturer and see who they recommend to repair the unit.

possible failure of defrost mechanism causing ice to build up behind back of freezer preventing air flow into freezer and fridge. Try turning it off for enough time for ice to melt if cause.
if this is issue the repair man will need the ice half melted to be able to test the thermistor that senses the ice buildup.

Constraints:

D = 12P; --------------------------------------------------- (2) 1 year is 12 months; 52 weeks; and 365 days

52B = 365P; --------------------------------------------- (3)

Substitute value of P from (3) into (2) therefore D = (12 * 52/365)B ------------------- (4)

Put (4) in 1 to get

(12*52/365)B + B + (52/365)B = 140

This gives B = 49 years. Put in above eqs to get other values.

ONLY THING I CAN TELL YOU NOW IS THERE IS A LEAK SOME WHERE IN THE SYSTEM. AND I M SURE THE NEVR DID ANY LEAK CHECK ON THE SYSTEM IF YOU DO NOT WANT TONGET AN OTHER REFRIGERATOR; TRY GET A REPAIREMAN WITH EXPERIENCE AND HAVE GOOD TESTER EQUIPMENTS

sounds like a defrost problem ...
maybe the heater or defrost thermostat is bad...

he should bypass the timer and jump the heater to see if its woking...if not then i would remove the heating element for further testing. if the heater checked ok..it would only leave the defrost timer to blame.

Inside the cooler is the evaporator fan usually right in the middle behind a cover. As it slows down you have less circulation and ice forms quicker and cooling is diminished. Sounds like it is going out.

Appers to have lost refrigerant, yup you need to call in the repair man.
