Change all the wireless settings of the router.
Change the SSID ( network name ). change the SSID something new that you never tried before. change the security to WPA personal.
change the channel to 6.
make sure the wireless MAC filter is disabled.
under advanced wireless settings change the beacon interval to 75.
Now on your computer try to connect to the new network name.
see if that works.
If that doesn't work then try to upgrade the firmware./

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
If your network is secured then make sure that you are typing the correct network key.
also make sure that the DHCP server is enabled on the router.
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.

SOURCE: I am trying to connect
If you are using the cd that comes with the router, that is the problem. You do not have to use the cd. Go to the control panel and un-install the program that the cd installed. then: If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy New Year! Thanks, Joe
Shutdown your PC. Unplug the power from the router and the cable modem.
Wait 30 sec. then plug in the power to the cable modem, wait 30 sec. then plug the power to the router. Wait till you have "Internet" light then restart your PC. The PC should pick up an IP address and you should be able to get on-line. This is if you have a cable service provider. If you have DSL, the router needs to be configured with PPOe.
