Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer Logo

I hate my Whirlpool Cabrio washer- I've had it for almost 4 yrs- digital display board broke at 2 1/2 years and cost $450 to repair. Now I have leak under the washer who knows how much it will be to repair. The machine twists clothes and too loud- it seems to be getting loder. How do I get Whirlpool to replace my lemon? I owned a basic Whirlpool washer and dryer for 15yrs, never a problem.

I HATE, HATE, HATE my Cabrio washer and dryer too. They cost a lot of money and are Whirlpool afterall, so what could possibly go wrong?? EVERYTHING, that's what.
My washing machine DOES NOT clean the clothes and I too have the same complaint about jeans ... white streaks of detergent remain after the initial washing PLUS everything comes out of the washer so wrinkled. AND, don't even get me started on fleece and how it looks exactly the same after the wash as it did when it went in ... full of pet hair, lint, whatever ... it survives the washer in tact AND the dryer. I literally sit down after the wash and dry, and handpick lint and cat hair off my fleece
workout wear. My dryer is just as bad. Sheets come out so wrinkled I can't stand putting them on the bed. I'm IRONING my flat sheets for the first time in my life! I realize sheets get wrinkled once you've slept on them BUT for YEARS I've been able to put them on the bed out of the dryer wrinkle free ... NOT ANYMORE.
This is NOT rocket science folks ... I'm 65 and have been doing laundry in my own appliances since the age of 23. I have NEVER had these kind of issues, EVER.
I HATE, HATE, HATE these appliances and I too will NEVER buy a Whirlpool anything
again. Plus, their customer service SUCKS. They can do nothing to assuage the problems. Try another brand if you're in the market for any appliance.

I also hate hate hate my Cabrio washer and dryer. I've been a loyal whirlpool customer for over 25 years with ALL my household big appliances. ThWhirlpool doesn't care about loyalty. I bought this washer and dryer set in Sept. 2010. The clothes don't get clean....the darks have white streaks on them. I have to re-wash about every other load. I washed a pair of jeans and they still had dirt on them when I pulled them out. I called Whirlpool and their response was "What do you want me to do about it?" They said they can't do anything bc the washer is an energy saver.. I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool appliance.

I am getting a F1 code in my washer which causes it to stop several times during a wash cycle, what do I need to do?

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

If you own a Whirlpool Cabrio and are experiencing an F1 error, you're unable to finish or start a load of clothes. When the Whirlpool Cabrio displays an F1 error, this means the the control board is having difficulty communicating with the motor.

To fix your F1 error, you can first try to unplug your washing machine for 15 minutes and then plug it back in. If this doesn't work, you will need to replace the control board. The only tools that you need to replace the control board is a Phillips screw driver and a 1/4" hex head driver. Be sure to unplug the machine from the electrical outlet before performing any repairs.
After unplugging your Whirlpool Cabrio washer, carefully pull the washer away from the wall (Watch your drain hose and the two inlet hoses.) Next unscrew the 3 screws located on the back of the Whirlpool Cabrio. Next, take a picture or make note of where each plug connects to the control board. Next, unplug each plug and the pressure tube. Lastly, unscrew the 1/4 screw then remove control board. Replace with new control board and reverse your steps to install. The new board will fix the Whirlpool Cabrio F1 error.

Can you email a manual on the top load Cabrio we have had for three years and it has started leaking and howls and gets really loud on spin cycle Thanks

The T is wrong in your model number as you can see on this look up site click this link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/WTW6600SBT?searchModPar=WTW6600SBT&pathTaken=modelSearch&prst=0&shdMod=WTW6600SBT It would either end with a 2 a 1 or a 0. For the machines that end in a 2 or a 1 this is the manual for your machine click this link http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0701026.pdf as far as you describeing the howling sound while the unit spins this is most likely the main bearing that connects the outter tub to the inner tub that has gone bad. Unfortunately this is not a well made machine by whirlpool it is actually there problematic machine and there are many problems that customers do encounter with this machine. There are also many class action suits for how this machine was made as well. Due to you describing the leaking and howling noise it would most definetly be a bad main bearing and seal. This job is also a very costly job if you were to have a repair technician do the repair. The actual job for a technician may take him between 3-4 hours and in cost it usually runs between 450-600 for the repair by most technicians. If you were to do the job your self it would probably run you about 160-180 in parts. If you have any further questions message me back. Please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again Rick

Whirlpool Cabrio top loading washer F1 Error

F1 means the control board is shot. Call whirlpool and they should take care of the parts and labor even though your machine is out of warranty.

Hi! Can you help me decide if the Kenmore oasis 3.8pc is a good washing machine.

The Kenmore Oasis is made by Whirlpool for Sears. It is the same as the Whirlpool Cabrio. The Cabrio and the Oasis had a problem with the computer board. Whirlpool has been replacing the computer boards under a recall(mine was replaced recently). But I believe it is the model with no agitator in it. The one your talking about I believe is the one with the agitator. Whirlpool makes a good product. I would stay away from Maytag. Besides the recall problem I have had mine for over 2 years and it has worked fine. But I did get the extended warranty with it due to all the sensors and computer board can make repairs expensive.I have not had to use the extended warranty yet. My previous Kenmore washer was 12 years old and stopped working due to a rat chewed thru all the wiring and hoses. It would have cost me more to repair than what it was worth so I purchased the Cabrio.

F1 error on Whirlpool cabrio

it means that the control board is not sensing the water pressure (this tells the machine how much water to put in the washer) in my experience you have to replace the control board which will cost over 200 plus labor which will be over a 100
