Make sure the software is compatible with your operating system. If you just upgraded to windows 7 you should also check that you have the most current version of the Canon ZoomBrowser. Make sure your USB drivers are also current and there are no problems with the USB drives.

restore you computer to an date on which everything was working fine. for restoration go to start-> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> system restore...
you will not loose you any data..

As I've already replied I've tried all those ways, but without any positive result. The computer doesn't allow me to get back in time far enough to be able to find the date when everythig was working properly. I was able to gey as far as 29 June 2010 and it was not the date when EOS Capture was working.
