Krups Orchestro Dialog FNF2 Espresso Machine Logo
Anonymous Posted on May 21, 2008

I have a Krup Orchestro Dialog Autocapuccino fully automatic espresso machine. When I try to use the machine, it warms up properly, rinces correctly, grinds the coffee, makes the usual noises, few drops of coffee come out, it stops and the read out says press hot water, when I press hot water, it goes its part properly, stops and the read out shows ready, I press again for a cup of coffee, and it again grinds, does not make coffee and asks me to press hot water button. I cleaned the machine twice and descale it, it did not help. The grinder is working properly because there is always the usual cake residue in the waste container, this happens every time, I have tried it tens of times, wasted my super expensive coffee to no avail, please help

The tube that the coffee comes out would seem to be blocked. My suggestion is to take some air pressure from an air compressor and blow it into the nozzle and see if you can blow anything out.

Give this a try and let me know if it helps, if not let me know.

Please let me know if you have any questions on how to do this. The only other spot I would look is to the pump. When it does give you some coffee, is it coming out normally or less than usually and how does it come out compared to when you first got it? let me know as this can help narrow down the problem

  • Benjamin Patri

The air won't damage anything as long as you know what you are doing. As long as you don't seal the compressor nozzle into the tube, no damage will occur

you could also try running a steel wire with a brush at the end into the tub to clean it

Were you able to fix this, if so then please give me some feedback by rating my solution. If you need any more help, I would be glad to assist you, just ask.

thanks and Have a Great Day!

The pump appears not to have enough pressure , you should call Krups to get a replacement.

You have a faulty pump, hard reset is unlikely to help in this case.
Ask other experts were to find a repair centre in your area.

    Good luck

Hard reset is unplugging power cable for some time, to solve electronic problems. In your case start finding Krup phone number, or a repair technician in your area, as you do not seem a DIY expert on this kind of machine.

Last thing blowing with the compressor right inside the water pipe can cause further damage.

Hi,

Initially, have you tried a full hard reset? If not, pls unplug from the mains. Most current devices would reset and revert back to factory default settings (assuming no internal hardware fault) when unplugged for a considerable period of time (from a few minutes to a couple of hours). Of course doing a hard reset erases all glitches.

Pls post back for any development(s) or even the lack of it.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

As posted, initially, then perhaps you would like to check and consider a "Recall Alert" on some models of Krups Epresso Machine. Pls reference this page.

Do not start, no electric

You may find the transformer supplying power to the pcb has gone open, there is a fuse in it that can fail. I have bypassed the dead fuse on many of them in the past. If you don't understand what I have told you then best you do not try doing it, you need to understand where to solder the link. A proper service person familiar with the model should be able to figure it out once you have informed them what the problem is.
