I have a bush dvd2039 and have put a dvd in and it won,t play and open and close won,t work either, have rebooted, unplugged and plugged back in and checked cables etc still nothing can you help please?

I take it your talking about a pc dvd burner if its not opening or closing i wouls say the cog/ruber band has broken you need to replace the driver (dvd burner)

f the tray won't open or close properly, check the belt for dirt or wear. Then check the tray for misalignment. If needed, remove, clean, lubricate, and reinstall the tray following the instructions in the owner's manual.

This is everything that I have:


Try this general bush unlock:

Press Open tray

Press 2, 8, 1, 2 and Enter to get to the manufacturers settings

Select the required region, by pressing Enter on 9 for multi region

Press Close tray

If that didn't work, try this:
Try this one:
1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the 9 button on your remote control
3. Press the 7 button on your remote control
4. Press the 3 button on your remote control
5. Press the 5 button on your remote control
6. Using the on screen menu, highlight the region option
7. Press the Right button on your remote control

My Samsung DVD/VHS recorder the DVD won't close after playing DVD

Never force it, just use the remote.
If it won't stay in, unplug the unit and wait a while.
I think we get viruses from the TV signal which might be temporary (hopefully).

My Technika DVDr 2005 drawer will not open and has a DVD in place - how can I retrieve the DVD?

turn it off then unplug the dvdr then after a while plug it again and turn on, now press the play button after a while press the stop button then next is the eject button. if still the tray won't eject unplug the dvdr use a philip screw driver unscrew to open the cover. look for the plastic motor gear then manually turn it with your finger to eject the tray now you can get your dvd. place back the cover and plug the unit and then turn on to check if its working again and eject the tray. thanks i hope it will help you good luck.

Dvd drawer opens and closes continually

the inter relay swich on the door is molfushing,or the open and close butten is bad'', try closeing the door and at the same time that the door close's unplug the power and then plug it back in after a few seconds and see what happens it my stay closed and then you can play it,, and it my stop doing that ''if not you will have to take it in to a repare shop'''' my names is ''james ''' let me know if this works for you''' you can e-mail ' me back at '' [email protected] .

DVD Player does not work

General Problems
Player won’t work (locks up)
• Try unplugging the AC power cord and plugging it back in.
• Reset the DVD/VCR: on the front of the unit, press and hold the STANDBY/ON button while you press and hold the STOP button—wait at least 3 seconds
before you release both of the buttons. You’ll need to set up your menu preferences because this Reset Procedure returns the DVD/VCR’s menus to the
factory default settings and also erases the contents of the Disc Library.

DVD tray will not open

I had the same problem - unplug first- it is easy to undo all 6 small screws - open it up -plug in and then you can give it a little help to open it. It worked for me, BUT now it will open and close but not play the dvd.
