Check out the class action lawsuits for defective Sony TV. Many models over the past 8 years with the same problem. Do some google search about your model and other similar Sony models with the blue spot and blue smudges on the left side of the screen and at the bottom. Sony is giving free TV's and/or greatly reduced prices for a new model. But hurry as many of the classa ction lawsuits have already expired.

Blue spots on Sony WEGA KDF60XS955

Thats caused by a bad optical block. The cost of that repair will almost always be greater than replacing the TV.Thats a very common issue with alot of Sony DLP models which suffered that optical block issue with the blobs of color usually blue or green

Spot in center of screen, if the color pictureis black the spot is blue, if the picture is white the spot is yellow.

Spots in screen is commonly caused by defective LCD on the optical assembly. LCD replacement is very difficult. I suggest to contact the nearest service center at your area.

If there is no picture but sound is audible then replacing the projection lamp will do otherwise, the TV requires to be diagnosed for any other hardware damages.

Sony 60" LCD projection TV has yellow screen discoloration

It sounds like you have a bad Blue Polarizer in the light path. I'm sorry but that is something you will have to contact a service center for. It's not something you'll be able to do yourself, I'm sorry, but that's the best advice I can give you.
