It sounds like you are using the wrong mic for the radio or the mic has been wired incorrectly or the mic has become faulty or the radio has become faulty. Unplug the mic and see if the radio receives and works correctly. You should be using a Yaesu model MH-36b or a MH-42B microphone.
Green light coming on and staying on... Sadly nothing the end-user can do to alleviate this problem themselves. It is usually repairable by a trained/equipped repair facility.
Kenwood TK-2200. The light comes on when you press PTT button, indicates you are transmitting.
The light goes out when you release the PTT button, if itgoes out during transmission, but your message gets through to your contact, then I don't see the problem.

It depends on which light is OFF: Below are the LED indicators:
100/ACT Green. The LED lights up when there is a connection to a 100Mbps network. It flashes when the computer is transmitting or receiving data at 100Mbps.
F/H Green. The LED lights up when the Adapter is operating in fullduplex mode. The LED is off when the Adapter is operating in half-duplex mode.
10/ACT Green. The LED lights up when there is a connection to a 10Mbps network. It flashes when the computer is transmitting or receiving data at 10Mbps.
On my two channel radio a blinking green light means that it is scanning between the two channels. I can turn off the scanning and the light stops blinking.
I have never seen this problem before, check if the VOX is activated, this could cause to transmit the radio, but the voice must be transmited.
