I HAVE A CRACKED SCREEN BUT IT STILL WORKS. CAN THE SCREEN BE REPLACED?

Well if only the screen is cracked it is possible to only replace the screen but if the necessary part, in this case "the screen" , if it is not available in a store then your mechanic or you won't be able to replce the broken screen but rather change the whole device.

If the crack is on the outside then you have cracked the digitizer and not the LCD screen. Buy it online then install

Yes it will work again but the crack will still be there.

If it is working okay there is no need, but if graphics and information become distorted or do not display then yes will need replacing.

I expect you will be able to find a replacement screen on ebay.

The only solution for a cracked screen is to replace it, once the screen cracks the LCD is no longer good. If the player is still under warranty see if it's covered if not you can try to replace the screen yourself, but that is usually risky and the screen alone is going to be expensive, best advice is to replace the player and try to be more careful, sorry.
