My memory card is saying its write protected.. I don't know how it got set or how to remove it.

Normally, you can only insert an SD card one way. Try a different SD card or check to see if the SD card you're using has the "write protect" switch on. If that's not the issue try formatting the card in your PC and then format it in the camera.

Some memory cards have a Write Protection switch on them.
To check this please remove the Memory card from the camera. Check if there is a "lock" switch on the left side.
Slide this switch to the "Unlocked" position, and reinsert the card into the camera.

This should resolve the issue and the error should go away.

In case the issue persists, it could mean the the write protect on this card was perhaps set by mistake while it was connected to the computer.

You will need to use the computer to cancel the read-only setting.
Please connect the card to your computer through the camera or a card reader and cancel the write protect on the card.

Try sliding the button at the side of the memory card. It may be set in protect mode. Once done, you can add files to it freely.
