My laptop V2000 began to turn off suddenly recently after turning it on. I read many articles as to how to fix this problem but I still experience the same. I have replaced the battery with a new one. I have also replaced the AC Adaptor. I have tried per recommendations to take out the battery and run it with just the AC Adaptor but still turns off after a few minutes. I have been asked about the BIOS and to update them, however, when I try to update the lates BIOS, I end up with the laptop turning off. Any ideas?

Sounds more like the CPU is over heating. This is a fairly common fault on laptops after dust hair etc build up in the fins of the heatsink from the cpu.
After it blocks up, the fan can not push air through it to cool the cpu down and so the laptop goes into thermal shutdown to protect itself.

my computer is around 1 year old and when i am playing a game writing chatting exc, it turns off, it happens not so often 1 every 2 weeks maybe. i try and turn it on, it starts turning on but shuts back down. Finally I takethe battery out and put it back in. There it fianlly turns on.
