Samsung 32" LCD TV won't turn on. 2 yrs old. Model # LC32A330J1DXZA. It's never given any issues. We came home from a night away and the standby light is on but doesn't flash when we press the power on the tv itself or with the remote.

From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
Blinking codes details of many popular brand TVs are given. Surf the site with patience.
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Hi replace the fuse in the wire connecting the mains plug. It's generally located within the 3 pin plug. If you are lucky it maybe just a fuse blown out. Thanks
I have the same issue. TV is ~ 2 yrs old. Ruled-out cable-box & HDMI cables (green present in menu mode with no cables attached).
Screen turns mostly green, with a crappy picture. After a few days, a normal picture just appeared. Today I powered-on, the green screen stuff came up, then a minute later a good picture for about 20 minutes, back to green-stuff for 10 seconds, then good picture.
Hi I am Vortash that is the standby light and the only way to turn it out is to turn the set off at the wall ? This is the safest thing to do at night in any case Televisions are responsible for more fires in the home than almost anything else .
Here in the United Kingdom there was even a Public announcement film made just to tell people to unplug them at night made by the Fire safety council ... regardsVortash

closed caption depends on your tv stations. If a tv station does not support providng closed captions, then it will not really show closed captions. Closed captions depends really on the feature of a tv station
