I have a Brada TV and bought an RCA Universal romate control. When I brought my romote control home, I have notice there is no code for a Brada TV any idea if I can still use my new control?

If you have a satelite provider, that provides HD, which is to say if you have an HD box, you will be able to use the satelite romote to control the TV, generally they are universal. Furthermore, you can go out and buy a universal remote from Radio Shack or your local electronics store

Code Search Method

1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
2. Press and hold CODE SEARCH until the indicator light lights, then release.
3. Press and release the device you are programming (tv,vcr, or dbs). The indicator light will blink once then remain lit.
4. Press and release off-on until your device turns off. You may have to press off-on up to 200 times.
5. When your device turns off, press the ENTER button and the indicator light will go off.

First mistake was buying a universal remote without knowing for a fact, or being shown in the shop, that it does work. Universal remotes are amild waste of time and money in the majority of cases.
If you still have your old remote, it is possible to get it repaired from your local repair shop, or if you are tech savvy, you may be able to find the problem yourself.
If you are able, I would reccommend contacting the manufacturer to try and obtain a replacement remote as the code would have ben set from the factory.
In all my years of dealing with problems like this, universal remotes worked less than 1% of the time. I'm sorry.

I am having the same proplem for Curtis lcd3717a. I tried a RCA unversial romote crcr350. Can not get to work. Any universal romote that would work with this TV

You don't need a code. Just follow the instruction as follows:
1. Tun on TV
2. Press and hold "code search" until light stays on, then release.
3. Press TV botton
4. Press on-off repeatedly until TV turns off
5. Press enter.

That is it. It works for me.
