Chair has been idle for years. I tried to turn it on and nothing happened. I plugged it in and waited 2 hours, all the lights came on. Looked at the owner's manual and it was pretty useless to me. So, all the lights are on but it does not go. Drive levers are inward. I was unable to make any error codes come up, but again, the manual is pretty useless as it does not tell a person what to do if error codes appear. I know the batteries are dead dead dead but...\r\nMaybe just need to charge longer?

Robbin,

It will not help to try to charge those batteries. No amount of charging will bring them back You will need to buy 2 U1 batteries if your chair is a smaller Jazzy or Jet. The heavy duty chairs take a bigger size battery Hope this helps you Check if there is a battery distributor or store in your area they will be cheaper than going to a provider that sells chairs

I plug charger in and nothing happens no lights or anything

got the same problem the gel cells drain to a level that is too low for the charger. A suggested fix I have seen is to jumper a car battery across the gel cell to fool the charger so it will go into charge mode.
I have not tried this my self yet as I have to remove the chair to get to the batteries on my father in laws ride on chair. The nursing home took the chair off him and left it in a shed without it being on float charge for over 6 months and now I can't charge the chair up.

Hi I have a Jazzy 614 HD. I charge my chair with (new charger) and it turns off when fully charged and my Joy stick reads fully charged (New Joystick and new batteries) but within three to four hour

perhaps since your chair is over 2.5 years old you have underlaying problems such as motorheatup or excessive drag per a locked bearing or a bushingtrhat is out of lube.somebody needs to at everything that moves thathas to do withload carry,or powertrain.

Blinking yellow wrench light on pride jazzy 614 HD

Your version has a Dynamic Controls model controller and joystick.
Unplug the charger and engage the motor/brake lever so the chair is no longer in free-wheel mode (con't push by hand)
Turn the chair off, wait 5 seconds, turn the chair back.
If chair still does not run and your wrench is flashing you have a problem. Count the wrench flashes - the flash count indicates the error detected. 3, 4, 5, and 6 flashes indicate and error with the motors.
3=Left motor fault
4=Right motor fault
5=Left brake fault (may not be engaged)
6=Right brake fault (may not be engaged)
Any other fault code usually means the electronics or wiring is bad and not worth fixing.

I have a Jazzy1113,it had been unused for several years.I did not take right steps to take care of batteries. I tryed several months ago to start and of course would not,but i do remember some movement...

There is a 7.5 Amp ATO automotive fuse on the rear electronics tray that is probably burnt out. The ammeter will not work when this happens. Also, if you have a bad on-board charger that will inhibit movement of the chair. Unplug the on-board charger and see if you get it to move. Hope this helps.

The chair is plugged in. it says fully charged but will not turn on it has no pwer

It sounds like the batteries have gone bad and need to be replaced.

The batteries contain a gel that needs to have current run through it on a regular basis (at least 8 hours once a week) or it will solidify. If you attach the charger, what will most likely happen is the green light will either stay green or go to green after a very short time. When you turn on the power chair, nothing happens. The charger will indicate the batteries are full, but instead of being full of pwer, they are full of crud. Your warranty will most likely not cover replacment as this is due to customer neglect, but your insurance may still cover the replacement if you can wait for the process to go through. Otherwise, you will need to replace the batteries on your own, type U1, 24v 33 amp. Good luck!

Battery doesn't charge

When you connect the charger, if the light goes to red to green within a few minutes and the battery power does not last more than 1-2 hours or less, it may indicate that that the batteries will not take a charge anymore and need to be replaced. This can happen if the power chair has not been charged in a while or has been stored. Having the chair on or off while charging will not affect the charging process, but you ususally want it to be OFF.
Good luck!
