Hi,
The icing up can come from a dirty air filter or from the unit leaking freon and being low on charge...
The other way to freeze it is to try and make the room too cold...
check the filter... don't try to get the room colder then say 70 and if it still freezes then you have a problem...

If power steering fluid got on the AC compressor belt and it's slipping, then yeah. Fix that first and then clean all the belts with brake cleaner

My air conditioning unit is leaking water on the ground outside. Also the air upstairs in not coming out. It's working in the basement. What could be the problem?

Sounds as if your coil is frozen. Do you see any ice on the larger diameter copper?? Is the blower motor actually working??

What would cause the airflow to stop to fridge when freezer door is closed? (kenmore model 106)

Ice in the path of air flow to fridge. The freezer also kkeps the fridge cold via a fan that blows the cold air from feezer to fridge.

Put new AC compressor on, ice cold air for 2 days then blowing cool to warm air. Compressor is working but air not cold. Sometimes will get a small burst of cooler air but doesn't last.

You did'nt mention if you got the system refilled with Refrigerant after the Compressor was replaced or not. If not, that could be the problem.

There is moisture coming out of the AC vents on my daughters 2006 s40, usually during very hot weather and not until the car has been driven for several miles

The drain on the evaporator is stopped up,look for it directly bellow the ac lines ,where they go into the car,under the hood,it will be on the bottom of the blower box,use air pressure to blow into the drain to clear it out.

The unit forms ice and it does'nt blow cold

IF YOU CLEANED THE FILTER AND THERE IS NO DIRT ON COIL, YOU MAY BE RUNNING IT TO LOW FAN SPEED. REMMBER IF IT IS ABOUT 70 OR BELOW IN HOUSE YOU NEED MORE HEAT ACROSS COIL INSIDE , TURN AC TO HIGH SPEED AND ICE SHOULD MELT. IF IT DOSENT TURN T STAT TO HIGHER TEMP.

1998 gmc sonoma air conditioner - not cold

Check the magnetic clutch is engaged on front of a/c pump, have the motor running, a/c on and fan on high, if the centre hub is static the pump in not switched on, this can happen when the gas pressure gets low.

AC not blowing Cold Air

take ac cage off or ac out of window so insides are exposed take out side and use water hose and clean out side coils and in side coils dont bend these coils or u will be sorry,,,clean out good if not stoped up have freon put in
