Try opening the designs directly from the CD, you should be able to navigate to your CD player and acess the individual designs. Alternatively copy and pastethe CD contents into a folder and open from there.

Need instructions for baby quilt #63485

Hello, Lisa -

Is your baby quilt one that has embroidery or cross stitch? Could it be a Bucilla product with the design name "Mother Goose"?

If so, I have not yet found instructions for the quilt online.

Therefore, I suggest you contact the Bucilla Company directly and ask about the baby quilt pattern, in hopes the company Archives holds a set of instructions and you can purchase a copy. Be sure to ask about instructions which may be in the company Archives.

This is the link to the Bucilla Contact Us page:

Best wishes.

How can I machine quilt on the necchi 3204fb do I need special attachments

There are a lot of accessories available for free motion quilting. However, in reality, FMQ can be done with a darning foot (usually included with your machine). Of course, you can opt to purchase a multitude of FMQ presser feet for your machine, ie open darning foot, clear foot, hopping foot...plus many quilting rulers. The only other change is to drop the feed dogs. From there, it's just a lot of practice, practice, practice. It helps to practice drawing FMQ designs on something like a blackboard or whiteboard that can be erased and used multiple times. The idea is to get your movement smooth and consistent--muscle memory--like you used to do when learning how to write in grade school. It may also be helpful to have some gloves that will grip the fabric since your skin will become dry from constant contact with the fabric and begin to slip. There are special "quilting" gloves for $$ or you can try some cheap rubber gloves from the dollar store or rubber garden gloves.

Or, you can do straight line stitching with a walking foot, which is easier than FMQ. But you would need to purchase a walking foot for your machine.

Just search for free motion quilting. There are tons of web sites, videos, and classes.

Quilting and patchwork foot with attached shank

Probably, but since we don't know the model, we can't help you much.

You can search the internet for your make and model machine and search for a 1/4" presser foot. You'll most likely find one piece presser feet or even snap-on feet where you purchase the shank adapter and then separate presser feet that attach to the shank.

You can also check with your local Pfaff dealer.

Does the Deco 340 Embroidery Machine use .ART or .EXP?

According to the manual for the Bernette Deco 340, the machine only reads .EXP+ files. ART files need to be converted to the EXP file type using the Bernina Embroider Software. (Even the designs on the Studio Bernina CD need the ART files converted to EXP.)

The manual is available from the Bernina support site: http://www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-5/Machines-en/bernette-deco-en . The direct link to the manual is http://www.bernina.com/getdoc/c6cc51e0-d5e9-4cb1-a7be-f164c0f4fdff/deco340_EN_GZD . (Note: you will need Adobe Reader or a similar program to access the manual.)

I'm surprised that you were able to get any .art files to work until recently.

I hope this helps.

When free motion quilting I get loops on top of the fabric and on the bottom when doing tight curves. I also get thread "puke" - tangles and snarls on the bottom when going through the quilt...

Check the height of the quilt under the machine-adjust the bars until the quilt is just barely over the bed of the machine, and level front to back and side to side. Also, level up the frame, using a long carpenter's level. You'd be surprised how much this can help with all sorts of thread problems.

Hello where can i get a quilting foot for a singer

I find ebay great for small specialised items.
http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=singer+quilting+foot&_sacat=See-All-Categories
If you are in the USA try www.ebay.com, if you are in the UK then it's www.ebay.co.uk and in Australia I think is www.ebay.com/au Just do a search for singer quilting foot and you should find one that suits you. You can organise your search by price etc so it finds the cheapest one available.
Hope this helps!
