I have purchased a yamaha rx v465 receiver and a Yamaha YBA 10 Bluetooth wireless audioreceiver, because i want to connect my laptop wireless to this receiver, so i can play my music from my laptop through this receiver. I 've connected the YBA 10 with the provided cable to the receiver, when the receiver was "off". Then I followed the manual: I pressed "dock" on the RC, then pressed "option" and scrolled to "pairing" and pressed the "enter" button. Instead of "searching" (like the manual says) the display says "not available". What am I doing wrong? Or is this a malfunction of the receiver? I mailed this message 3 times to the yamaha support europe, but never got an answer. Can you help me? Arjen Tolkamp Enschede The Netherlands

Is there an option to make the YBA10 visible to all? If yes then put it on. Unless the YBA is made visible it will not be detected by anybody.

Says searching but never connects. the yba-10 blinks boes not connect

On RXV3900 using the remote there is a submenu for YBA-10WH (submenu shows Trim, Pair, Connect). Selecting Pair causes the YBA-10WH blue light to flash. Once iPod has Bluetooth set to ON it then displays a box showing "YBA-10WH not connected".

First attempt to connect requires tapping this box which produces the invitation to enter a 4 digit pass code. I had several attempts using pass code for my iPhone - all failed giving message "Make sure yba-10 yamaha is turned on in range and ready to pair". I finally tried keying in a pass code 0 0 0 0 and it paired!

Once turned off subsequent attempts to enable Bluetooth were much easier requiring tapping of the box but not requiring entry of any pass code.

Turn off seems to work easiest by using the remote to select the "Connect" option on the submenu and then selecting Enter on the remote - this caues display of "Disconnected" message on the RXV3900 screen.

Now works fine!

Iphone 4 pairing with yba-10

On your phone, make sure bluetooth is turned on (settings, general).

While your phone is in discovery mode, turn your bluetooth device on and put it in discovery mode (usually you have to hold the power button for 7-10 seconds).

Your phone will find the device, and you will be prompted to enter the devises PIN number (often 0-0-0-0). Your phone should pair with the device then.

Yamaha rx-v456 av receiver, shut down with optica cable

Does it work without PS3 attached?
When receiver turns off, it is usually due to badly connected/configured speakers. Try powering on the receiver without speakers.

YAMAHA YDS-11 TO A RX-V459

Hi, as per yamaha site RX-V459 doesn't have the DOCK connector which is used by YDS-11 dock (or the bluetooth module). This is the only possibility to connect the YDS-11. YDS nor receiver don't have USB connector and they are not needed.
For example RX-V465 does have DOCK connector and supports YDS-11.
For your receiver, you can use only analog audio cable with your iPod.

Ipod connection to a Yamaha RX v363 receiver

Fortunately you are wrong :)
On yamaha site you can see that RX-V363 has a DOCK connector, which supports both iPod docking station YDS-11 and Bluetooth Wireless Audio Receiver YBA-10.
