I live in South Africa and have a Brother Innovis 90E embroidery machine. I have a problem with the tension in that the top thread loops at the bottom of the picture I am embroidering. In addition, the top thread contantly breaks for no apparent reason. I have also noted that if the design demands that the machine over-stitches (i.e stitches over itself, double layer of stitching) the top thread breaks. Please help me, I am desperate to get my machine going again. Thanks Lauren

Why does the bobbin thread show on the top I have a brother embroidery nv800e machine

Try reducing top thread tension. If tension already at minimum then it may be necessary to increase bobbin tension. This usually is not necessary so let me know results of reducing top thread tension.

My Brother PE770 was sewing fine and all of a sudden started looping on the upper embroidery. I have cleaned the bobbin case, rethreaded etc.

The bobbin case sounds like it became loose for some reason. You need to fix this. Somehow the thread isn't under the tension spring. Check that bobbin! The only other reason is the top tension became too high. When you are threading the top do it with the pressure foot up. As you are threading the top apply little tugs to see if there are snags. This will tell you if you are having problems on top.

When the machine is sewing with black embroidery thread, it will have big loops on either the top or bottom when sewing an outline and will also "nest" and the upper thread will break. Black...

Try a different black thread, quality can change a lot on threads. Also...black color is the worst for tension issues due to the overdying done to get a real dark black color on the thread. Looping on the top and the bottom are two different issues. Double check all threading when you have problems. Also the white is a brother pe100 clone. You may find a solution on a pe100 brother page or site.

I live in Pretoria South Africa and have a Brother Innovis 90e embroidery machine and would like to know where i can purchase the large embroidey set (Part Code EF71:XC2026-102

Go to their website and email them, www.brother-usa.com and they should be able to tell you. Or better yet, let you order right through them, The phone number is 1-877-276-8437 but I don't know if it will work for you there. Look under the contact information on top of the website. Good luck

The top thread keeps braeking. This is a recent problem. I use singer needles. I live in South Africa. I dont get necchi needles.

Usual causes are:

Weak or inconsistent thread..

Threaded wrong.

Needle installed backwards or not seated.

Incorrect tension or contamination in the tension control.

The key to finding the problem is to manually turn the machine through cycles and watch at what point the thread breaks or is strained excessively.
