I don't have the master software CD to load to my lap top to play videos previously made on an Olympus Stylus 710. I would like to download the master software to my computer

The software for your camera is outdated and not supported by the later version of Windows, If Olympus does not have a later version on their website you are out of luck. Windows Vista had a lot of issues. My advice would be get rid of Windows Vista and install Windows XP. It is far better.
The camera serial number is located on the bottom of the camera or on the warranty card. If you mean the serial key for the Olympus Master software that would be located on the CD sleeve that the CD was packaged in.

It is possible to get replacements. Just go to the link below then select your model number and it will take you to the download page of that specific model and you can get the software.
