1) put the laptop on a bed or a similar surface to close the air openings below 2) wait some time (15-30 min or 1hour) and let it get warm enough 3) restart. it worked for mine. hope it works for you too.. the laptop seems stable and does not give any more beeps (for now).. good luck !
I think you are correct ... there is a screw in the middle of the d... thing. I found that issue myself on this make as well as others. Look closely - maybe under the labels.
Rub your finger over the entire label surface to find the hole. When you find it, poke your screw driver through and remove the screw.
Hi there. With all HP laptops the keyboard screws should be clearly marked, look close under the laptop for 2 icons that look like a keyboard, that should be them, just unscrew them and the keyboard should come away.
Most like you need to take a thin flat head screwdriver, and gently lift up the plastic, there is a few plastic holders, but be careful not to break them. I would also double check for small screw you may of missed.
I have a Compaq Presario 2210US. The wireless toggle button is in front on the right side, slightly under the top of the computer. Feel for it with your fingers or use a flashlight. It glows a bright blue when on.
Not really, since the fan is controlled ny a thermal sensor on the Motherboard. You may want to start by having the fan and heatsink assembly replaced.
