My friends dropped my JVC Everio and I'm pretty **********. Is there a way I can fix the camera's screen? It's cracked and there are 2 black lines that strech across the screen.

External lenses were not an option for those cameras.

Yes, if you go to the JVC site and under "support" you should find "downloads" in there you'll find your manual to download as a "pdf." file.

May you will need to relace the optical block assy or ccd base assy

I have same everio with HDD problem( does'nt work), but other parts are exelent. I can sell my cam for 100euros.

No easy fix. Pressure or impact is the usual cause of a cracked LCD. Try not to get the black stuff on anything....it's pretty toxic! The screen needs to be replaced (assuming there's no other, internal damage). They are usually in the range of $75 US.
