Have you went through your menu to make sure the "sleep" function is "off"? I know it's a simple suggestion, but I've been guilty of over-looking the simple things quite a few times ; )

check capacitors, make sure the condensor coil is clean. sounds like the compressor is overheating. is the condensor fan motor still turning when it stops cooling. if not check low voltage wires to condensor, furnace and t-stat
* Most common would be a couple of capacitors in the power supply that are not letting the proper voltage to the lamp. * The lamp itself is not working properly.
Very often older Mits CRT's develope a slow leak of coolant
onto one of the circuit boards....various problems arise,depends
on where the drip lands....even a good tech can miss the drip
evidence.....I have pulled the chassis to the shop only to find
"wet" area under well-lit conditions.................T.
