I would ensure your CPU fan is working properly, there are no power input issues: cord is all the way into computer and outlet as this would cause overheating of the cord or supply, try another wall socket on another wall, if you have a power strip, it may be faulty and/or a self resetting one.I would ensure your CPU fan is working properly, there are no power input issues: cord is all the way into computer and outlet as this would cause overheating of the cord or supply, try another wall socket on another wall, if you have a power strip, it may be faulty and/or a self resetting one.

You've checked the p/s and it has volts out. Try removing the battery and running the laptop just on the p/s. If it works like this the battery is dead. Otherwise the laptop has a problem.
If the battery is dead, buy a new battery or run it on p/s alone. Laptops should be run on battery alone as much as possible, or the battery dies.
Thats just your computer ending the process of skype.
As for the pc shutting down automaticly it can be that its oveheating!!
On my Dell Inspiron 2200 I get the Blue Screen every 2 hours and I dont mind.
Might be bad memory
If the computer will run on battery alone, and you cannot fully charge the battery, it's probably time for a new battery. The life expectancy is 2-3 years if treated right. Some people get a lot more life than others. Here's a suggestion: when you run your computer, let the battery run fully down at least once a month. Do not leave it plugged in to line power all the time. Do not keep charging it when it is only a little bit discharged.
