Hello Marionria,

First check that the disc is OK and there are no scratches, etc. If there are, you could use a bit of toothpaste and a clean cloth to get rid of the scratches. Just use a bit of paste on the cloth and wipe the CD in circular motions. Now use a clean part of the cloth and wipe away the toothpaste. Try the CD now and see if it works.

If that doesn't work, try doing a clean install. It could be that there are other software conflicting with the install. Procedure as follows (I am assuming you have XP):
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG --> Click OK
2. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
3. Uncheck Process SYSTEM.INI file
4. Uncheck Process WIN.INI file
5. Uncheck Load Startup Items
6. Click on the Services tab
7. At the bottom, check Hide All Microsoft Services
8. Uncheck all boxes in the window or click the button labeled Disable All
6. Click OK
7. Click Restart
8. Install the game CD.

After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:
1. Click Start --> Run --> Type MSCONFIG--> Click OK
2 .Replace checkmarks in the items from which you previously removed.
3. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
4. Click OK
5. Click YES, when asked to restart your computer

Hopefully, this should work. If not, it could be that you have a corrupt CD. If this is the case, try to get it replaced from the point of purchase.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here. Please do not assign a rating until you feel your problem is resolved. I will try my best to help you further, if need be.

I have a Windows 8.1 Updated & can't get this game to load. Help!

I looked it up and it seems to be an older game. Most older games will have issues or not work at all with windows 8.1 which has cut back on support for older windows games and apps. http://youtu.be/6lAjQGn-_E4?t=4m4s Try doing what this guy did in the video for compatibility issues on windows 8.1. It may work but it might not. Still worth a try. Otherwise, you may have to try and find an older machine to play it on. (Windows XP, Vista, maybe 7) the newer it is, the less likely old stuff is to work unfortunately.

I inserted a game into my Acer (Windows 7) computer CD Drive... Although I cannot seem to get the game to load. Is there any solution, or is my computer just not able to handle those graphics. As soon as...

Well in oder to check if your computer can run the game try this website.
systemrequirementslab
As for getting the game to load from the disk, try going to My Computer and then right clicking on the disc which should show as a D: or E: and choose explore or open. Once you are looking at the files on the disc look for the setup.exe or install.exe. This should install the game and any other dependencies needed if it is able to run on your machine.

PS3 does not read my disc. I was playing a game when the sound went out on my game, although i could still play the game. I restarted my PS3 and now it does not recognize games or movies.

have your Hard drive and all cables connected to your PS3 unplugged, after 2 to 3 minutes try to load a game again, if this does not fix the problem, probably the main problem is that the lens might be damage, bring it to a local electronics or computer repair shop and let them have a check on it.

System can load games, with the exception of one

Try to install the game onto the HDD drive.

To do this simply insert the game onto the drive and go to the menu where it shows the game disc.

Press Y on the image of the game and select "Install to Hard Drive".

After the game finishes install select "Play From Hard Drive"

If the game fails to install try cleaning the disc with warm water NOT hot or cold water but WARM. After that dry the disc with a soft towel or some sort of SOFT cloth by wiping away from the center of the disc.

Cd drive doesn't see sims 2 double deluxe

I tried the sims 2 game on another computer, which has vista home premium OS. The same problem occurred on that computer. I wonder if the game changed the registry and prevents the game from being reinstalled.
