Watching TV and heard a "pop" and color disappeared. TV still works but is in black/white and kind of flickers. We replaced lamp 1.5yrs ago. I'm assuming we now need to replace the color wheel? Where are directions for that? My manual doesn't have any info on it.

Hi, It seems color wheel problem in your tv that gets problem after some time and you hear high pitch noise along with picture flicker. Color wheel need to be replaced to solve this issue. Power issues (Tv not turning on) were typically due to faulty ballast.
While the TV reports a bad lamp it is the ballast itself causing the
issue. Samsung is well aware and will replace both the ballast and the
lamp (since the lamp can be prematurely aged but the bad ballast).
After replacment most people stop having issues.
