It should be an Omron D3V-16G-3C25, you can google that number and find a few electronic parts suppliers who sell them in a quantity of one. Likely the cheapest route is to buy off of eBay where I see them for $10 shipped.

Sharp R-520KS - When the door is opened, the light and fan comes on and the carousel rotates. I don't know if microwaves are emitted. How can I stop the fan from coming on and the carousel from...

You can tell if microwaves are being emitted if you get warm standing in front of it (seriously). But I wouldn't recommend that unless you want to cook yourself.

First thing that comes to mind is the door interlocks are out of adjustment or bad. Home microwave ovens are not supposed to operate like that. Some commercial models start the fan right away and run it after the cooking cycle is completed but I've never heard of a consumer model that does that.

Find your closest servicer here and have them take a look.

Fuse size for sharp mircowave r 520ks

The fuse will be a 20amp ceramic. The fuse should be available at hardware stores, Radio Shack.
If the fuse is blown, there is a very good chance you have another problem, possibly a bad or misaligned door switch, shorted capacitor. Replace the fuse, if it blows again you will have to figure out why. Door switches are the most common reason for the fuse to blow.

THE DOOR OPENER SEEMS TO HAVE A DISCONNECT AND HAS TO BE PRESSED EVER SO SLIGHTLY FOR THE MICROWAVE TO GO ON. CAN I FIX THIS?

There are three microswitches in the door latch assembly. One of them has failed (most often the lower one). With some mechanical know-how one can easily replace the bad switch with just a phillips screwdriver. There are two normally-open switches, and one normally-closed switch. They can be purchased off of ebay for about $10, and changed in 15 minutes.

It is a new microwave -- I just took it out of the box. The instructions are in the microwave oven, and I cannot open the door to retrieve the instructions to use the oven. What a birthday present...

Go to sharpusa.com and search for your unit, there you can look or download the instructions manual. I just did and it works. By the way you may check if there is no tape holding the door shut. If there are no obstructions you need to push the "One touch door open button" located at the bottom right corner of your unit if you are in front of it. It may be a little hard initially like many things that are tight when new. Good luck.

Replace door latch on sharp microwave R-520KS

Sorry but its probably not worth it - consider cost of the part + cost of labour and you could probably buy a brand new machine.
Otherwise look out for a used machine from your local 2nd hand store, garage sale, refuse tip etc and get the part from that and do it yourself - MAKE SURE ITS UNPLUGGED.

Need to replace d3v-16g-3c25 for my sharp micro...where can I get it... .1 amp 124v dc

That sounds like a door switch. Which switch is it? Top, middle, bottom?

Is your model number R1480? If not, please reply back with your model number so we can help you.

The door switches in model R1480 are:

QSW-MA110WRE0 top & bottom switches

FFS-BA016/KIT middle monitor switch with fuse (kit)

You can probably find exploded views and order parts by entering your model number here at the Sears parts site.

But the best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.

If none of this info helps you, please reply back with your brand and model number and let me know which part you need.

Location of monitor switch for Sharp R-5A54B microwave

It's usually the one in the center, as opposed to the being near the top or bottom edge of the door.

The entire service manual is available for free download on the Sears parts site (page by page) at http://www3.sears.com/ (the 3 is correct)

Just look for the switch as ref # 1-7 on this diagram:
