My laptop dont read hard disk drive

Hello,

Okay, shut down your laptop, turn it up side down, remove laptop battery, remove Cd drive by first unscrewing the CD drive's screw before removing/detaching the Cd drive from the computer.

Turn on your computer without the Cd/drive, allow computer to boot, after a while, shut down computer, fix in back the CD drive and turn the system back on.

By now the system should read the CD drive. If it does not, then I'm afraid some this is wrong with the Drive, but I'm sure it should work.

Take care.

I took apart my xbox 360 and when i turned it back on i saw that the disc wasnt turning fast enough and it just saids open tray

the disk is not being spun more than likely. thats why i always get open tray. wat u need to do is this
1) unplug it all and take it apart
2) get to the disk drive
3)unscrew the 4 screws on the SIDES onf the drive. not the 2 in the middle 4)take off the cover GENTLY
5)put the drive back intoplace without the top on it
6)plug it up and turn it on
7) observe the disk want to spin but it wont. there is not enough pressure to get it going, wat u need to do it give it a little "push-start" spin it while applying pressure. it may take a few trys to get the disk going fast. it will need to start going very fast.
8) when it does that, quickly place the top back onto the drive without screwing it back on.
it should contunie to spin. turn it off, unplug it, screw the top back onto the drive, then reassemble the 360. works for me EVERy time

I am unable to turn on ide single drive

You need to turn the raid back on and go into the raid utility. Once in the raid utility u should see a function to Break or Delete the raid group. Do this and then the drive should revert to a non-member disk and therefore a single drive. Once this is done u can turn the raid off again.

Cd or dvd rom drive

This might be due to a registry problem. Re-installing windows (OS) or repairing your OS installation can help. You can install from any previous back up or get the installation files in a USB storage device like pen drive.
You can also try the following which have worked .. insert the OS installation disk in the cd-dvd drive. restart Pc. change boot device option. installation of new OS begins. this is a hit n trial method, but has worked earlier.
