Prevention is the title of a monthly print magazine. Perhaps that was what was ordered.

You may have inadvertently agreed to a subscription by signing up for something else. How were you notified of the purchase / charge?

If the charge is for a subscription to Prevention magazine, the subscription may have been placed through a magazine subscription agency.

Without knowing the entity which notified you of the "order," it is a challenge to advise you on how to cancel it. If the $29.96 cost has been charged to your credit card, contact the Security team for you credit card company via a telephone call and talk with a real person about the charge and how it can be stopped.

I have no idea how your banking or credit card question ended up in the category of Computers & Internet.

That being said, Fixya.com is not a banking or credit card web site. You will need to contact your bank or credit card provider directly. I recommend you telephone the proper Customer Service number and talk with a real person about your problem.

If you need help in locating the proper Customer Service telephone number, using the Edit feature, you can add the name of the bank, credit card provider, or other business from which a "debit order" was posted, so that I or someone else can find the number for you.

Check the webpage. It should have somewhere instrucctions to cancel subscription or at least a contact link. Looks a serious site but if you gat no response ultimatly you might need to ask your credit card to change account number.

If the charge on your statement has a telephone number, call it. If you can use a recorder do that. They will likely try high-pressure techniques and may even refuse to refund the charge but this step is necessary before you call your credit card issuer. They can stop the charge and refund your money. Afterward, file a complaint with your local BBB or on-line with the city of the scammer, if you know it. Do NOT do do nothing. That will result in more charges.

What company is billing you? PayPal? Municipal water/sewage? Sears?

Telephone them, and get them to help you.

After logging in to your Skype account with a PC.
