If your TV is liquid crystal, or with VGA interface of the TV, the computer also WITH VGA interface don't need to buy TV card.Otherwise not only buy TV card, still need to buy a VGA connections, five meters. But VGA connections only transfer video, not transmit audio. So, you need purchase another audio signal lines, according to TV and computer their audio interface situation choose, both prominent circle mouth speakers audio signal lines. , 5 m.Also you can buy take S terminals output graphics CARDS, but it also requires TV also have S terminal input interface. just have a try,I do not know if useful!,source from autodvdgps
If Your TV and Laptop have HDMI Port then you just need a HDMI Cable.
But if you dont have HDMI port. then you need two cables one from video and one for audio.
For Video you either VGA Cable(if you have VGA Port in your TV) or VGA to RCA Cable (Yellow Pin will be for video)
For audio You Need 3.5mm pin to RCA (white and Red for audio).
This pic is of VGA to RCA Cable
Unfortunately, DVI doesn't support audio. Your headphone output may work if you have a PC audio input on the TV. However, you might need to change the audio output on the Acer 6290G. It is probably defaulting to using the HDMI audio output.
Go to the Control Panel (click on Start). Select the Hardware and Sounds section. In Sounds, look for Manage Audio Devices. Change the Default Audio Device to a different Audio device (look for Output in the description). Note: you may need to turn off the computer and TV and turn them both on for the headphone jack cable to be identified.
If this doesn't work, check the manual for the TV. It might only have the PC audio connection available for a VGA port. Please add a comment with the TV model, if you need assistance with this step. Make sure that you aren't connecting the headphone out of the 6920G to a headphone out on the TV.
Hi, First of all your TV should support both HDMI and VGA. If it does lets start with HDMI as you will get audio through the HDMI cable. Connect the HDMI cable to the TV and set the source on the TV to HDMI using your remote control, connect the other end to the laptop, hold down Fn and hit F5 to toggle between screens. See if that helps and let me know how you get on.
what kinda connection did you made?? what kinda cord did you use....anyway...it usually works that way..you can get image on TV ..by setting the image card driver ...but the sound bust be connected separately ...if your TV has a input plug for sound...just take a proper cable ...and get signal from the green out of the computer and plug it into the input of the tv ...this way you will have sound comming from the TV speakers and access on the volume with its remote control ...but no matter what kinda plug u used for the connection with the tv ...you will not get eny thing more than image.. so...if your TV doesnt support sound plug in just attach some speachers ...
VGA cable doesn't carry any audio: use your audio output from PC into TV audio Input (standard RCA). You need to configure your Display Properties to manage TV screen to get an effective connection. Either you have a generic Video Grafic Driver add on (I'm using Intel Graphic accelerator) on your display properties either you are using a specific (NVIDIA) driver for your video card. To check go to CP/ Display, settings Tab and in advanced you should be able to check your choice (if you don't want to go to user manual. You can also (in CP/ Display, Settings tab configure TV as a monitor and select your option accordingly: use screen resolution on screen # 2 not over native resolution of your VIZIO screen (1080 x 960?) and be sure to use all the parameters as TV can accept. As soon as TV is configured as per resolution and refresh etc.. check the presentation function on your PC: it's normally a FN key showing a screen icon on key top (on my Acer travelmate is FN + F5) on aspire may be it's FN + F4. This function key will circle between: PC mail screen -> External screen (as you configured on Display settings) -> both screen.
WHAT LEAD DO I NEED TO CONNECT MY ACER ASPIRE 3680 TO THE TV.
