If the above does not work, and you have important files that you don't want to lose, you could try this... Pull the hard drive out, and use a "USB Hard Drive Adapter" (available fairly cheap online) to connect the hard drive to a friend's computer, and save all the personal files (documents, pictures, etc.) you can to a folder on the friend's computer or an external hard drive.
Then, you could try to do a Factory Restore on the computer, and if that works, copy your personal files back to your newly restored computer.

Turn off the computer, then hit the power button to turn it back on andimmediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see the Safe Modeoption. Sign in as the Administrator(hopefully you didn't put a password on it and forgot it too). However, this is what's actually happening.

When your dealer bought Acer laptops (or any other laptop) Acer gave them (your dealer) 3 years warranty coverage. But your dealer will sell them and cover 1 year of warranty since the laptops they bought are just stored in their locations which are already consuming the warranty period that Acer gave them.

when u bought the laptop did it come with windows vista system recovery or windows xp system recovery cd if so put the cd in the computer and restart it while it's starting it will say boot from cd for 5 seconds while is has it on the screen press any key and fill in the information

if she's not the administrator, then you could try resetting the password through the administrator.

to do this, all you ned to do is reboot in safe mode, and log in as the administrator. then jsut delete and reset the password as desired.
