If the Tour is still recognizing the connection, you can press the speakerphone button (the dollar sign) during a call to switch control from the headset to the BlackBerry, which should take care of your problem.

Does that help?

Plantronics voyager pro plus is connected and paired with blackberry tour. when a call is coming in, I cannot answer or hang up the phone from the bluetooth headset.

Make sure that your Blackberry's headset mode is activated. If the headset mode is turned on in the Blackberry menu and settings, you may also need to re-pair the headset to your phone to make sure that it has a good connection. Before running through the pairing process, be sure to totally delete the headset from the Blackberry's menu. You may want the headset turned off for this process.

Once you make your Blackberry discoverable, then put the Plantronics Voyager Pro headset into pairing mode by holding the power button until the headset flashes red and blue. Here is the link below for the Voyager Pro pairing instructions.

How to pair a Plantronics Explorer 245 Bluetooth headset and a BlackBerry Tour

The Plantronics Explorer 245 headset can be paired with most Bluetooth-capable phones and smartphones to enable hands-free phone conversations. To pair the headset with a BlackBerry Tour, follow the steps below:

Make sure the Plantronics headset is off before trying to pair the two devices. On your BlackBerry, scroll down to Manage Connections (the antenna icon) in your Home folder and click the trackball. From the list of connections, select Set Up Bluetooth. The Add Device box will appear, asking if you want to search or listen for a Bluetooth device.

At this point, turn your Explorer 245 on by sliding the on/off switch toward the microphone end of the earpiece. Once the device powers on (if you have it in your ear, you'll hear a few short tones) you should see repeating red and blue flashes from the LED lights on the side of the headset. If you only see blue flashes, hold down the call button (the side button) for a few seconds, until the lights start flashing red then blue.

Now, on your Tour, select Search. Bluetooth will be enabled if it's not already, and then the BlackBerry will search for nearby devices. When the headset appears on the list of devices found (it should read "245Plantronics" or something similar) select it. A box will appear letting you know that pairing is now complete, and asking if you want to connect to the headset. Select Yes.

Your BlackBerry Tour and Explorer 245 are now paired. If at any point you turn the headset off, turn the BlackBerry off, or turn the BlackBerry's Bluetooth feature off, the two devices will automatically reconnect when they are able. When you look at your list of paired devices on the BlackBerry, the Explorer headset will appear in bold to show that it is currently connected.

Blackberry tour 9630 out of warranty cannot hear incoming calls speakerphone works is it worth trying to get fixed

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to pay as much or more to get your BlackBerry fixed than you would to purchase a new phone. You could also buy a Bluetooth headset for around $40 that would bypass your phone's internal speaker, and then you wouldn't have to get a new phone.

Hope that helps!

Somehow a headset icon appears when I am receiving a call and I cant hear the person on the other end. Why is this?

Hi,

If the headset icon appears on your blackberry while you are on call and can't hear the person on the other end, you'll have to dial this code ##002#. If the problem still persists then take you mobile to a blackberry certified point for on the point repairs as i suspect that the speaker is faulty and needs replacement.

Kind Regards

Remote funtions on LG HBS200 do not work with Blackberry Tour

When you go into the Tour's Bluetooth options, you can view which services are available for each paired device. Check the headset's properties and make sure all of the available services have a check mark next to them.

If that doesn't solve the problem, let me know and we'll try to find another solution.
