Make sure that your Blackberry's headset mode is activated. If the headset mode is turned on in the Blackberry menu and settings, you may also need to re-pair the headset to your phone to make sure that it has a good connection. Before running through the pairing process, be sure to totally delete the headset from the Blackberry's menu. You may want the headset turned off for this process.

Once you make your Blackberry discoverable, then put the Plantronics Voyager Pro headset into pairing mode by holding the power button until the headset flashes red and blue. Here is the link below for the Voyager Pro pairing instructions.

The people I talk to say that they hear an echo through their headset. This goes away if I reboot my headset. Is this problem caused by my headset or my blackberry tour cell phone.

It sounds like a phone issue, and the headset is a trigger. Please remember that newer phones are like small computers, so they may become corrupt over time and you may need to reset them every so often. Simply turn your phone off and take the battery out for a few seconds, then replace the battery and turn it back on again. You'll need to purge from the phone any pairing information for your Voyager Pro headset and pair it again to your phone. Carefully follow the instructions in the link below for the Plantronics Voyager Pro.

The Plantronics 500A base should be plugged into the handset receiver jack on the phone, not the headset jack. It could be that the headset needs to be re-paired to the base unit, or the lifter is worn out (if using one). If you manually remove the handset receiver from the phone, and you power on and activate the headset, does sound come through ? If so, it may be the lifter. Here is a link for the 510S / 500A user guide to troubleshoot, and also a link for the pairing instructions.
