My console is not working on the Body Craft ECT-2500 elliptical crosstrainer. Is there a simple solution such as replacing a battery within the console? Thanks, Mike
This unit power supply that plug in the wall, If you have a multi meter. I suggest checking the outlet and work your way back to see if their is DC voltage, assuming 12V if this voltage is not present then replace power supply. If it is present then you my have loose connections inside the the unit or defective upper console or lower electronics. The simple way with out taking the side panels off is to remove the upper console and disconnect the 4 lead connector. Find the usually red and black attach your meter and see if you get 5V DC, if you have this voltage then the upper console will need replacing. If not then I would take the side panels off then check the connector leading to the lower board if I have voltage going in and not out replace lower board.
Remove
the bolts or screws securing the console to the upright assembly.
Lift the console and confirm that the cable connections are secure.
Remove the cover from the console's battery bay and install a fresh
set of batteries. Replace the battery cover.
Detach
the ends of the pedals from the crank axles. Remove the left and
right disc shields and side shields. Inspect the interior of the base
unit and locate the flywheel.
Inspect
the flywheel as it turns. Locate the magnet installed on the
flywheel. Turn the flywheel until the magnet passes in front of the
nearby reed switch. Loosen the screw securing the switch in place.
Rotate the switch to reduce the gap between it and the magnet.
Tighten the screw.
Replace the left and right disc shields and side shields. Reattach the ends of the pedals to the crank axles.
