First of all have the wheel's balanced it could well be just as easy as this to fix, also have a look at all the steering ball joints to see if any are warn out (they will be loos and have some lift in them) put on new ones if you fine any bad ball joints check that the wheel bearings are not flopy? they should have "just a little play in them but it is very little!!" have fun,,!

Testimonial: "so it turns out it was that my tires needed to be balanced, i looked and one of my balancing weights must have fallen off, thank you very much, very helpful."

I have a 2006 G6 GTP,, occasionally the traction control light comes on and the car shifts hard, please help

There are many reasons for the light to come on example: tire pressure not same in all tires, tires of diffrent size, ABS sensor wire loose or cracked. The best thing is to retrive the code which will tell you exactely what and which VSS vehicle speed sensor is failing.

2008 Pontiac G6 winter driving the car seems to slide in the rear and is not easy to control.

It's possible that your Front/Rear alignment is way out of whack. Have the car undergo a full front/rear allignment (~$80 USD) or your rear tires are below spec.

Locate the tire pressure sensor on 2008 pontiac g6 my system say svc tpm

The tire pressure sensors are part of the valve stem, one in each tire. Please check the tire pressure in each tire also the spare. If all are correct then you will have to diagnose the system with a scanner at a GM dealer or a name brand tire store.

2006 Pontiac G6 front wheel vibration

sounds like your front end is worn out and yes tie rod ends are a common source of this problem along with out of balance tires and seperated tire cords, any tire store will inspect your car for free and give you an estimate to repair.

No faster than 80 Kms/hr

Front end shimmey on 2004 Maxima SE

It is possible that one of your new tires has what is called a slipped belt which is basically a faulty tire.

If they were able to successfully perform the front end alignment you can almost be sure that all of your ball joints, tie rod ends etc are ok as these really don't attribute to "shimmying" felt in the steering wheel.

The are several common causes of shaking felt in the steering wheel:
1. Out of balance wheel/tire combo
2. Slipped belt in a tire
3. Bent wheel

Your shop should be able to pinpoint the cause easily.

Take your car back to the shop that replaced your tires and tell them what you are experiencing. They can check your new tires again to make sure the belt on them did not slip.
