Belt problem ...

Hi Paula, I know nothing about it, you could lift the belt and use DW40 or vegi spray where it's squeaking. Nothing beats a walk in the park. Greg.

Tap tap tap noise when the belt turns on. consistent.

can you determine where the noise is coming from . under the front hood or back. if you can remove the hood and look at the drive belt for fraying . also look at walking belt for fraying. any loose piece will hit something and make noise with every revolution

Belt sticks when running and briskly walking

Walking belt or drive belt loose. If you get noise while this is happening your front roller is likely bad.

I have a Pro-From Crosstrainer xp 580s, walking on the belt isn't smooth and it makes a squeeking noise

You need to adjust the roller tension, The adjustments are at the sides of the treadmill by the rear roller. Sometimes there is a cover over them.

Making more noise when it is running. Did not make so much noise before.

If the noise is coming from the walking belt this could be due to sand or grit getting under it. These belts are big electro-magnetic generators. The attract sand and grit to them. Usually it will make a high pitched sound when there is sand under the belt, especially if there is a mylar or plastic sheet under it. If this is the case the sheet can easily be replaced.

Proform 400GI Treadmill making a very loud noise, which is worse when using speeds between 2.7 and 3.1, noise is so loud can't hear tv when turned up to full volume. It makes the noise without anyone...

This definitely sounds like the drive motor. One way to check is to remove the drive belt and run the motor without the walk belt connected. Obviously if you still have the noise it will be a motor issue. If not then it will be one of the 2 rollers. Good Luck! Tim
