The sidekick 3 has an issue with thte charging port. If you have a friend with a sidekick 3 or sidekick ID, try one of their batteries. If your unit powers on, the charging port has gone bad.

the repair for a charginf port runs about 80-100 dollars. A cheaper work around is to get a charging cradle that has a spare battery charger slot. They run about 30 dollars on ebay and it will allow you to charge the bettery seperate from the phone.

is your batery is new?be sure that your batery is new because sometimes there is the problem.
2. Open the unit if you can and investigate the foot of the charger input ( the slot where you are inserting the charger connector/plug).Look on it if there is a loosen soldered foot and re-solder it to fix.Almost all of the time there is the problem due to always shagling everytime you perform charging.

just take it to the local cam store and have them try a bat in the cam and try and charge it while there if it works buy the bat if not start looking at the charger

i would replace the charger 1st seeing as its the cheapest thing to do. if that doesnt solve the problem. return the charger to where ever you got it from and purchase a new battery.

Battery wont charge in phone or charger that came with it? how can I charge it?
battery may be bad and need replaceing, or the charger has a short in it or is not functioning properly. if you plug the charger into the phone its self the phone should come on with or without the batery in it. if it dont then i'd try a different charger or get a new one.

had the same problem before...when i had firsst got the phone.
i just looked around the house for and cables that could plug in the outlets and that fit the sidekick 3 ...charger hole.
i know that a nokia charger that fits the sidekick charges it.

A sidekick3 that dont turn on
The sidekick 3 has a known issue with the charging port. If it is under warranty call t-mobile.

If not, you can get it fixed for 90-100 dollars.

The other solution is to get a external battery cradle with spare battery charger and an extra battery. This runs about 40 bucks on ebay.
