I had to reinstall the operating system on my computer and I have no sound at all. It says I have no sound device installed and I used the disc that came with the system. What am I supposed to do? It is an...

I can get you the sound driver or send you to the place of downloads but I need to know which emachines model is it. Is it a latop or a T series desktop and so forth?. You by installing the Operating system removed all drivers and need to install them all like audio, video, ethernet ,and many others usually. If you right click on My computer and select MANAGE and then click on the left under DEVICE MANAGER you can see anything with a yellow exclamation is a missing driver that your computer needs. An easy way if you allready have the ethernet driver and internet access is to to WINDOWS UPDATE but select the CUSTOM UPDATES not the EXPRESS option and then you can check if it finds any hardware drivers or updates , usually windows update is very smart and gets alot of missing drivers you might have missing. Hope my answer gets you closer to a solution. Please Help rate me if I helped you out or not I am new but a very good tech.
