Internet explorer9 9c48 error

Required software and components for Internet Explorer 9 Installation

The installation of Windows Internet Explorer 9 includes the installation of additional prerequisite software and components based on the destination operating system.

Internet Explorer 9 will try to automatically install prerequisite software and components. If the installation of prerequisite software and components does not succeed

Internet Explorer 9 will not be installed. If this problem occurs you must manually install the prerequisite software and components that are described in the following sections.

Note Internet Explorer 9 might not automatically install prerequisite software and components if the installation of other updates is in progress or if a system restart is pending.

To determine whether installation of updates is in progress or a restart is pending, take the following action for your operating system:

On Windows 7, click Start, click Control Panel, choose Large icons or Small icons from the View by drop-down list, and then click Windows Update. On Windows Vista, click Security in Control Panel, and then click Windows Update.

If there is an update installation in progress allow the installation to complete before you try to install Internet Explorer 9.

If updates have been installed but the system has not yet restarted, restart your computer before you try to install Internet Explorer 9.

hope it helps

Unable to install EasyLink Internet Launchpad to my computer

I posted this on Amazon earlier, where people seemed to be trying to solve similar problems:

I followed all the tips here and on other sites to no avail. This AM, I finally found the problem: I had to update the flash/activeX plugins for Internet Explorer and then it worked.

I'm a Firefox user, and things were working fine until one day, mysteriously, I started to get this "Please install Flash Player 9 and ActiveX" message when we tried to launch the Easy Link software. I had Flash Player 10 on my PC, but I followed peoples' suggestions and tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating the browser plugins, etc. Nothing worked.

Then, thinking that ActiveX is something that helps a browser run content on a web page, I wondered if the missing ActiveX component that Easy Link was complaining about wasn't browser-specific. So I closed Firefox and Started Internet Explorer, updated the Flash Player from Adobe's website through that browser and Easy Link started working right away.

I suspect that at some point Vista did a software update (as it sometimes does) that included a new version of Internet Explorer. That version probably wasn't updated to the latest Flash plugin and started causing the problem with the Easy Link software. I didn't notice it of course because I don't use Internet Explorer. If anyone is still having the problem, I recommend opening Explorer, going to www.adobe.com and clicking the button that says "Get Adobe Flash Player". Worked for me (finally).

I have msn ERROR everytime when i want to log in!! Please help

Run MSN without Java on your PC. Click on 'Options', then the 'General' tab. De-select the 'Run Windows Today Page when I start Messenger".

Now you can re-install Java and MSN will no longer crash, and it no longer tries to load the conflicting news page.
