These need to be cleaned regularly and the surface where they are used as well. I clean mine with a windex wipe or a paper towel dampened with windex. Do not get it wet! If this does not help try going to the Microsoft website to check for an updated driver to download. You should be able to find your mouse and corresponding software download here:
maybe the wirless transiver stopped working, if it had warinty that is still valid you could try to contact logitech or the store you bought it from. If not you could still contact logitech and see what they say since they made the mouse.

If the mouse doesn't have a little door to open
on the bottom, then try this. Just behind the Left and Right keys where
your hand rests, apply firm pressure down on the cover and slide to the
rear. Some mouse manufactures have used this type of access to replace
the batteries.

Try another wireless MAC mouse to check to see if it has failed. If the new one does not work, then the wireless receiver in the computer is not responding and will need service.
I am assuming that you checked to see that the mouse set-up is enabled.
I can't find a users guide but I did find drivers based on your model number. Once the drivers are loaded it will walk you through setting up of the mouse and keyboard and have a help section. Download software and install. Pick the correct operating system. Hope this helps.
