Toshiba laptop restarting

The loop on your Toshiba Satellite laptop refers to the computer not booting properly.

During the loop, the computer will try to boot the Windows operating system and keep restarting over and over again.

This is not a hardware issue with your Toshiba Satellite A106.

The issue resides in the startup files on your computer's hard drive.

You can fix this by running a repair tool that comes with your Windows operating system.

This repair tool will fix your startup disk and allow you to get your computer back up and running.

Insert your Windows 7 installation disc into your computer's optical drive.

Start your computer and wait for it to boot from the install disc.

Choose your language from the menu and then click the "Next" button.

Click "Repair your computer" from the menu.

Choose the operating system you are using and then click the "Next" button.

Click on the "Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure" button to disable the startup loop.

Click the "Startup Repair" tool from the menu and wait for the computer to fix your startup disk.

Wait for the computer to finish repairing your startup disk and then allow it to restart automatically.

Wait for the computer to boot correctly to your login screen.

Hope this helps

On startup, printer displayed Ink System has failed. Error )xc18a0001. Have tried the cartridge-out/power off recommendation, fault is still there on power-up.

I searched internet forums and found out how to reset the internal processor, thereby deleting the error message and allowing the printer to operate normally.
Process was:- Press on/off to turn off power. Unplug power cable. Wait 1 minute. Press and hold 'Red Eye Removal' and 'Print Photos' buttons. Insert power cable and printer automatically powers up. Keep holding the two buttons until the display screen goes blank. Press on/off to turn power off. Wait 1 minute. Press on/off to turn power on. Press 'Setup' on touchscreen and go through the procedure, including wireless setup (if used). "Bingo".

My computer reboots without warning while playing online videos or browsing the net. First it happens after working fine for some time and then it starts happening frequently. I have Windows XP media...

as my knowledge if the computer restarting by themselves always there are some error occured in this one area possibility :

1. error in software
2. error in hardware
3. error by virus infected
4. operating system issue

BUT :).. if u get this trouble after take some advennture in networld/network.. i suggest u computer ar sugessted with "blaster virus" the virus are written to reboot your computer without warning. Usually these viruses will make the computer reboot ever 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes after the computer has booted. so the best way is update your security first
that is the first step

the second :i suggest u to run your computer in safe mode wait for several minutes if not reboot while running safe mode follow this step :
  1. From the desktop right-click on My Computer.
  2. Click the Properties option.
  3. In the System Properties window click the Advanced tab.
  4. In Advanced click the Settings button under Startup and Recovery.
  5. In the Startup and Recovery window uncheck the Automatically restart check box.
  6. Click Ok.
if still rebooting in safe mode there the issue is likely not software related but something else

the third :hardware devices that are not installed properly in the computer can also cause random reboots. Make sure all the cables and expansion cards are connected properly to the computer. The best way to determine this is to disconnect and reconnect all cables and expansion cards.

If after following each of the above recommendations your computer still continues to reboot it is likely that you are experiencing a Microsoft Windows operating system related issue that cannot be explained. To help make sure this is the case please try the below steps.
  1. Reboot the computer and enter CMOS setup as the computer is booting. If you are not familiar with how to enter CMOS please read through document CH000192.
  2. After you have loaded the computer in CMOS setup let the com sit
hope u luck

Slow startup

Try disabling the floppy drive in the bios as it sounds like its trying to read a disk that isnt there. Floppy maybe faulty but disabling in bios will stop it from seeking.

Alternatively just remove the power cable from it.

DELL STARTUP

There was problem at one time with IOGear KVMs not working correctly with the USB chipset on the Dell motherboards. This problem was resolved by using a USB hub between the KVM cable and the computer. The user could take the USB portion of the KVM cable and plug it into a USB hub and then take the USB hub and plug it into the Dell computer. That should help with the problem.
