I just loaded Windows XP Home Edition on my PC. Now I have no sound what so ever. I have tried to find a driver for it to no avail. I have tried troubleshooting the device with no result as well. Please help

why not try a restore & see if that solves the problem
1.start menu
2. accessories
3.systems tools
4.system restore
you can always undo the restore if it doesn't help

Use driver backup software to backup your current drivers, save them on memory stick or other external device, you can now format and then use the driver utility to restore them, helpfull?

Are you certain you have no audio device in the PC? Have you checked the Bios to see if onboard sound is available?

Please check in the DeviceManager of WinXp for the exact sound device under  Sound Video and game controllers tab.After that goto driverguide.com and download the vista driver for that sound card.

Hi sachin. Copy the model number of your sound card from the motherboard's CD and search for the drivers in the corresponding vendor's site. You will definitely find the drivers on the site. Else , just post the model of the sound device, i will you the link to the driver download.
