Here are some possible problems and solutions:

  1. Insufficient water suppy. Make sure your using a 3/4" diameter hose, The more length of hose the less water pressure you have so keep the supply hose as short as possible.
  2. Plugged Pump Inlet Filter. Check and Clean.
  3. Wrong Nozzle. Make sure you have a high pressure nozzle installed on the wand.
  4. Plugged Nozzle, inspect and clean.
  5. Worn Nozzle, inspect and replace.
  6. Leak in pressure hose, inspect for damages and replace if any.

Karcher 2400 psi with honda motor started up big puff of white smoke from exaust it shut off noiw wont start whats going on

I have a john deere 3000psi pressure washer with similar problem. Running fine then a puff of smoke and it shut down. I checked the oil and found it full of water. Not only that but since I still had the water turned on, the water was flowing out of the dip stick tube. I'm trying to find a solution online and will pass any information on.

Karcher 2400 Psi Pressure Washer No gain of pressure

remove the hose from the machine. Check that water is flowing. and there is no corrosion reducing the opening. If that is OK then it is the internal seals and pressure vallve on the pressure unit Cost to have it fixed by Karcher is $200

New nozzle, plenty of water, but no pressure.

It is warrantied for 1 or 2 years. Low pressure could be due to the un-loader valve needing grease. If it is leaking it will not work properly. If it is stored somewhere cold during winter months the small parts inside will crack.

2400 psi pressure washer... what oil is used in the piston/bearing housing?

Hello cgreers:
I am assuming you are speaking of the pump pistons, not the motor.
10W30 oil is OK but you must be sure it is NON DETERGENT. Also be sure the reservoir is only 1/3 to 1/2 full.

Pressure is fine when first started ,if trigger released no Psi

Your uplift injector valve in the water pump is sticking. You need to remove this part. Lube the top o-ring only with a water proof grease. Reinstall this part. You will be up and running again.

You need to use needle nose vise grip tool to easily remove the valve. You need to grind down the vise grip tool to fit the opening where the valve is installed.

To prevent this problem from reoccuring use a pump guard additive.
